After more than twelve years - a phenomenal run by any standards in the digital audio industry - CEDAR Audio has discontinued production and sales of its 1U rackmount Duo DDC Declickle and DDH Auto Dehiss units. Launched on 1 August 2004 as a much improved replacement for the previous Series X series systems, these were installed in mastering studios, post production studios, broadcasters, libraries and archives worldwide, as well as being supplied to domestic users who valued the highest possible fidelity when restoring or listening to aged discs and tapes.

Gordon Reid, Managing Director of CEDAR Audio Ltd explains, "I am very sad to see the demise of the Duos because they are like old friends to many of us at CEDAR, as well as to our customers. They have given incredible service, proving to be exceptionally reliable over more than a decade, and they still do the job better than any other audio restoration systems - apart from CEDAR's more recent products, of course. But time has moved on, and it's time to concentrate on new processes and developments."

CEDAR Audio will retain the remaining Duo series components to ensure that the company can support and repair existing units for the foreseeable future.
