Introducing CEDAR Forensic - A division of CEDAR Audio Ltd
15 January 2004
CEDAR Audio is delighted to announce the appointment of forensic audio expert, Alan French, who is joining the company as head of its new Forensic Division.
French, formerly a Technical Officer with the Metropolitan Police Forensic Audio Laboratory, and more recently a founder member and Director of a forensic company, is one of the most respected experts in this field. He is well known to the Police and Legal communities, and has been credited with introducing many audio enhancement techniques. He brings with him over 19 years experience as an expert witness, and has dealt with thousands of criminal and civil cases, giving evidence in many of them.
In addition to audio enhancement, French specialises in tape transcription and authentication, as well as the design and equipping of enhancement laboratories and listening facilities. He has trained and given guidance to many Police personnel, and has a particular expertise in the use of Police-Undercover recordings.
Says Alan French, "I have for many years used CEDAR products for this type of work, and have always been impressed with the results. They are a great company, and when the opportunity to work for CEDAR Audio arose, I was delighted to accept".
Gordon Reid, Managing Director of CEDAR Audio adds, "We are delighted to be obtaining the years of experience and skills that Alan will bring to us. Over the past few years we have seen a huge surge of interest in forensic audio techniques, and CEDAR is very well-placed to satisfy the audio clean-up needs of the police, security and anti-terrorism forces. These needs range from cleaning individual recordings, to supplying CEDAR Forensic systems for installation at customers' sites, to helping clients to design and equip audio forensic laboratories. Acquiring the services of an expert of Alan's standing and track record is a huge boost as we further develop CEDAR's Forensic division."
As well as handling all sales of CEDAR Forensic systems, French is available for consultation and evidential work.
