CEDAR to launch new CEDAR Cambridge system at IBC2006

CEDAR Cambridge Q audio restoration system

4 September 2006

Reflecting the increased prominence of the audio sector at IBC 2006, CEDAR Audio will be attending the IBC Conference in Amsterdam for the first time in seven years, exhibiting on Stand Number 589 in Hall 8.

Pride of place on the stand will go to the new CEDAR Cambridge 'Q' workstation, which boasts many advances over previous audio restoration systems. With up to eight simultaneous channels of multiple processing and full timecode and automation capabilities, CEDAR Cambridge is ideal for post production and broadcast environments, where speed of use, audio quality, and productivity are paramount.

Alongside this, we will be showing thenew CEDAR Tools suite, a range of restoration modules for Pro Tools (PC), which includes Auto Dehiss, Declip, Retouch, Declick, Decrackle and Dethump. Also on display, we will have the Duo declickle and auto dehiss processors, which require no human intervention to obtain excellent results across a broad range of material, plus the Academy Award winning DNS1000 and DNS2000 dialogue noise suppressors that have become the industry standards in film, TV, and video post production. With near-zero latency, 40-bit processing, and a fast, intuitive user interface, the DNS1000 and DNS2000 eliminate traffic noise, aircraft, air conditioning, wind, rain, tape hiss, and general background from recordings and live transmissions, thus making it possible to use audio that would otherwise be unsuitable for transmission.

CEDAR Audio remains the industry's only manufacturer devoted solely to the development and manufacture of audio restoration and noise suppression systems.

The IBC2006 Exhibition will be held at the RAI Centre, Amsterdam from 8 - 12 September 2006. We hope to see you there.
