Introducing Tom Carter at CEDAR Forensic
12 May 2008
CEDAR Audio is pleased to announce the appointment of Tom Carter. Formerly a Norfolk Constabulary Technical Officer, Tom has more than four years experience in forensic audio investigation and was instrumental in the development and reconstruction of its Digital Audio/Visual suite. He also provided regular training sessions to new recruits at the constabulary and has been involved in many high-profile cases, gaining a wealth of experience that he can now offer to the wider police and legal communities.
Says Carter, "Forensic audio restoration has become an increasingly important tool in the field of criminal investigation. Fortunately, the development of new technologies in this field has created more opportunities to retrieve critical evidence from low quality sources, much of which may previously have been missed. CEDAR's reputation as a world leader in the audio forensic field is well earned, as they have developed the most effective speech enhancement systems available today. I am proud to become a member of the team and - through the company - to be able to offer advice and support to the legal community".
Gordon Reid, Managing Director of CEDAR Audio added, "We are delighted to have acquired the experience and skills that Tom brings to us. Over the past few years we have seen a huge surge of interest in forensic audio techniques, and CEDAR is very well-placed to satisfy the speech enhancement needs of the police, security and anti-terrorism forces. These needs range from cleaning individual recordings to supplying systems for installation at customers' sites. Tom's experience will be a huge boost as we further develop CEDAR Forensic."
Tom is immediately available for consultation and evidential work as well as for dealing with all aspects of sales and support related to CEDAR's audio forensic products.
